The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and onboarding staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Assist with answering employee questions
  • Respond to verifications of employment, unemployment claims, and garnishments
  • Creating and distributing documents
  • Assist with the administration of health benefits
  • Maintain Human Resources systems by updating and entering employee data
  • Participating in recruitment efforts
  • Assist with onboarding process, such as, administering forms, obtaining new hire information, background checks, and licensing
  • Serving as a point person for new hire questions
  • Participating in benefits tasks, such as claim resolutions, reconciling benefits statements, and approving invoices for payment
  • Assist with the maintenance of employee records, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
  • Assist with file and agency audits
  • Assist with termination workflow, such as, device collection, separation letters, and exit interviews.

Qualities and Competencies

  • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback

Prior experience with the following systems is a plus

· ADP Workforce Now - Experience Required

· SwipeClock/TimeSimplicity

· TrackSmart Scheduling

· ClearCompany

· Job boards and ATS

· Background screening services

Job Type: Full-time
