Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Texas Petroleum Group (TPG) is a retail fuel company managing over 200 retail gas stations in Texas with a variety of commercial constructs. Operating under the Tradename Timewise the team has a strong legacy of operating excellence in the Texas market and takes pride in their employee, customer, and bottom-line focus. Recently acquired by Shell Retail Convenience Organization (SRCO), TPG is entering a phase of significant transformation and growth. The HR Generalist will contribute to TPGs success by supporting all HR initiatives.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Position: The HR Generalist will assist with various human resources programs, procedures, and activities such as employee engagement, culture building, employment and conflict resolution, and employee services for all company employees.

The HR Generalist should have a passion for assisting team members achieve personal development and career advancement. This role will partner with managers and the Human Resource team to develop a system of recognition for team members that excel in their work.

Job Duties:

• Implement companywide programs that focus on employee recognition and engagement
• Lead strategic communications for employee engagement and initiatives
• Track and analyze all recognition efforts to ensure compliance and measure effectiveness
• Provide support and assistance including policy interpretation to operations management, and/or corporate personnel
• Maintain employee information in personnel file including certifications, performance evaluations, discipline, etc.
• Respond to unemployment insurance related inquiries, represents company in unemployment hearings
• Act as a role model within and outside of the department
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office, HRIS, ATS and other research and sourcing applications. ADP WFN experience a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, internal communication experience preferred.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
