SUMMARY: The HR Generalist is an integral part of the team working closely with all management to support the organization building credible relationships resulting in organizational effectiveness. This individual is responsible for all HRIS, recruiting and administrative duties related to the office as well as being a business partner with operations, assisting with employee discipline, onboarding functions and employee relations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and ensures all recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system and in accordance with affirmative action and Seaboard policies.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all new hire processes including pre-employment physicals, I9 documentation, benefit enrollment and the onboarding paperwork for all new employees
  • Maintain current employee files related to HR ensuring compliancy requirements are met.
  • Interview candidates and provide feedback into the selection process; Schedule onsite interviews and ensure a successful candidate experience.
  • Manage the delivery of onboarding and/or offboarding processes; ensure accurate and timely completion of all administration processes; provide support and guidance to managers and new employees.
  • Train employees on system usage, processes, and functionality of Etime and ADP HR systems.
  • Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintains data in HR systems and databases and assures information is available on a timely basis.
  • Maintain the plant organizational chart.
  • Respond to inquiries, complaints or problems from managers and production employees by providing information requiring comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Gather information to generate, distribute weekly staffing reports and overtime reports for all departments
  • Assist with company functions, i.e., meetings, holiday party, and other employee relations activities
  • Any other duties that management may require.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to prioritize while being a team player and assisting when needed
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft products required
  • Solid understanding of labor laws (EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and HR fundamentals
  • Experience with HRIS required
  • Must have effective, professional interaction with internal and external customers and ability to maintain complete confidentiality regarding HR/Personnel information.
