Job purpose

The HR Generalist will be the first point of contact for HR related queries form employees and external partners. You will be a passionate advocate of the culture and values of the organization and provide knowledge to achieve operational excellence and efficiency in relation to the people aspects of our organization. Reporting to the Director of HR, the generalist will have experience in the areas of employee relations, benefits, HRIS systems, recruitment and selection and employment laws.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
• Assist with legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, support in updating policies and/or procedures as required.
• Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
• Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to employee-relations matters
• Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
• Support the full cycle recruitment for all positions: Advertise, screen, first level interview, schedule interviews 2nd level interviews for managers and HR Director.
• Assists in the preparation of all Employment Offer Packages
• Supports benefits open enrollment and other annual processes or communications
• Assists in managing leave of absence, disability and workers compensation claims in accordance with federal and state laws.
• Assists in the preparation of reports and presentations as required
• Manages user login accounts and assists employees with accessibility issues
• Assists in HRIS updates and systems changes as required.
• Assists Director of HR with projects as needed.

Key Capabilities:

• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation and influencing skills Demonstrated knowledge of the custom automation business
• Expertise in talent acquisition, assessment and development
• Highly skilled in execution and results-oriented

Qualification Profile

• 
  Human Resource Degree or Diploma coupled with 3 – 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
• Strong understanding of HR practices, compensation, benefits, HRIS
• Strong, clear and approachable verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Sound knowledge of State and Federal Laws
• A self-starter with the ability to work on projects and function effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to be flexible and deal with ambiguity with everchanging priorities.
• Demonstrated strategies for multi-tasking and managing conflicting priorities under stressful time sensitive situations.
• Proficient user of MS Office applications and windows based HRIS software
• Knowledge of Ultipro HRIS System desired
