POSITION OVERVIEW:

House Managers are part of the program milieu staff and provide overall supervision and support in the program elements to ensure the timely execution of the facility schedule, safety, and client compliance. Must possesses excellent customer service skills and be able to develop internal and external resources and customer relationships.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate and verify client movement throughout the facility.
  • Report incidents, accidents and client concerns or problems to appropriate clinical staff or supervisor.
  • Documents status of facility in proper log book.
  • Monitor client conduct and overall behavior during tour of duty.
  • Conducts searches for contraband according to established organizational policy.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and de-escalation counseling with clients exhibiting disruptive/unusual behavior.
  • Conduct rounds on an hourly basis to assess clients conduct plus ensure the ongoing safety and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Communicate facility needs to facilities staff and/or supervisor via work orders.
  • Ensure all clients have HRA finger imaged daily and signed for the day.
  • Conduct hourly and random facility and room runs to ensure client safety and compliance with program.
  • Ensure Operations Aides are trained in proper search, contraband, toxicology and other operations processes, including documentation of the processes.
  • Monitor and supervise Operations Aides’ tracking of client movement in and out of the facility.
  • Scheduling of front desk, security, and night staff shifts on a weekly basis.
  • Available to cover any operation aide tasks when needed, including front desk, security and overnights.
  • Conduct population counts at designated times as needed.
  • Issue MetroCards to clients according to written MetroCard Process.
  • Store MetroCards in a locked cabinet and keep detailed documentation on MetroCard distribution.
  • Packing and inventorying property of clients who discharge.
  • Storing discharged client’s property for 72 hours.
  • Disposing of any property left for over 72 hours.
  • Monitor and regulate main treatment client store runs up to 2 times per week.
  • Regularly address any client needs from operational perspective.
  • Ensure all clients are recorded for HRA attendance on a daily basis.
  • Distribution of HRA benefits checks on a weekly basis
  • Client room assignments, changes and monitoring as needed.
  • Perform gender specific services such as searches and toxicologies.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • · High School diploma required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against covid-19
  • · 1 year related experience in Substance Use/Mental Health services.
  • · CASAC-T is required
  • · FDNY S95 Fitness Certificate (Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems), or within 90 days, post hire.
  • · Certified in naloxone delivery to treat opioid overdose, or trained within 7 days, post hire.
  • · Excellent organizational, reporting, recordkeeping skills.
  • · Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • · Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines.
  • · Ability to make decisions based on training, preparation, and experience, which reflect consistency with Agency philosophy, policies and procedures, standards of care and review body requirements.
  • · Must be available to work outside normal hours with a flexible schedule; must be available to work past scheduled hours until relieved; overtime often required.
  • · Bilingual – Spanish speaking a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.72 per hour
