Role and Responsibilities


Warehouse employees need to be an ambitious and hardworking professional who does not mind working in hot or cold conditions and can work an entire shift on his or her feet. We prize speed and accuracy above all else, so we require a Warehouse Worker who can pay careful attention on the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check his or her work before completing a task.


Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.


Essential duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Also, Sweep, dust, and mop. Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Identify damaged, lost, or missing product and notify lead immediately.
  • Pack orders in an orderly manner and close bags, trays, boxes, and totes so they are prepared for shipping.
  • Always treat product with care and concern.
  • Train and support new employees as they are on-boarded.
  • Follows all food safety principles and legal requirements.
  • Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork.
  • Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures, and department in support of company goals.
  • Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements.
  • Provide 100% of quality product to our customer.
  • Comply with OSHA and Food Safety standards.
  • Any other duties to support the overall success of the business and the needs of our customers, as deemed necessary by management.

General Helper

  • Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material.
  • Handle and transport materials and equipment.
  • Handle packing activities such as putting items in boxes or crates and labeling them correctly.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. stacking up goods)
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
  • Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures, and encourage colleagues to do the same

Sorter

  • Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material.

Stocker

  • Stack finished product for shipping to customers.
  • Make sure all bags, trays and boxes are well closed.
  • Have all finished pallets stacked neatly and to the required specifications.
  • Lift cases weighing up to 50lbs routinely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures and encourage colleagues to do the same.
  • Efficiently stack and store the product in the appropriate area.
  • Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped.
  • Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
  • Conduct operations in a manner, which promotes safety.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking.
  • Comply with OSHA standards.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.

Tagger/Ticketing

  • Provides assistance as directed by leads and/or supervisors for repackaging and reworking product.
  • Create tags and stickers according to work instructions.
  • Verifies codes dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance is within specified parameters and conforms to client’s expectations.
  • Coordinate the product orders with Leads and Supervisors assuring that all orders are completed according to schedule.
  • Verify the product inventory before starting the shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures and encourage colleagues to do the same.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.).
  • Ability to work extended hours (overtime).
  • Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, and Planning.
  • Inventory Control.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Commitment to safety rules.
  • Reliability and dependability (must work all shifts and arrive on time).
  • Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills.
  • 6 months of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
  • The ability to be a team player.
  • Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.

  • Heavy lifting is part of this job.
  • Physical stamina is required since employees are required to be on their feet all day.
