· Maintains a high quality of guest service according to Silverton STYLE.

· Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.

· Responsible for departmental budget including, but not limited to purchase journals, expenditures, capital requests, labor and periodic variance reporting.

· Staffs, schedules, evaluates, trains, develops and monitors subordinate personnel.

· Interviews applicants for subordinate positions, assigns work, grants overtime and early outs, issues discipline, trains employees, and awards wage increases and promotions.

· Corresponds with guests to maintain good customer relations.

· Organizes the hotel department for effective and efficient service, as well as overall coordination and control.

· Maintains familiarity with market trends, hotel laws and statutes, and products as they pertain to the industry.

· Reviews, audits, and approves all purchase requisitions and billing statements pertaining to Hotel Operations.

· May perform the duties of the subordinate personnel.

· Makes recommendations and negotiations with outside contractors for services utilized by Hotel Operations.

· Advises the Marketing Department of weak or oversold dates in hotel.

· Responsible for working toward the physical appearance of the vehicle fleet through research and taking positive steps to adjust or modify the vehicles in an efficient manner.

· Keeps administration informed of the activities and status of the operation with emphasis on uncommon or possible issues.

· Creates or initiates records, reports and other administrative documentation in a timely manner, as required to meet expectations of the organization.

· Through a positive example, actively promotes an environment conducive to high quality customer service.

· Such other job-related duties as may be assigned by instruction from management

· Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.

· Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.

· Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.

· Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.

· Regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.

· Arriving on-time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.

· Check for proper identification of a guest appearing to be under the age of 35 years old.

· Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education & Other Requirements

  • Experience at a boutique hotel or specialty resort preferred.
  • Full-service hotel experience with strong food and beverage knowledge.
  • Five (5) years of progressively higher levels of responsibility in supervision/management, preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of Hotel Operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred or an equivalent of training, education, and experience.
  • Demonstrated proven experience in management functions including organizing, staffing, planning, and leading.
  • Demonstrated efficient and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated computer application skills.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Nevada Gaming Registration.
