The Waffle Experience - Thousand Oaks Newbury Park, CA 91320
We're looking for a super awesome host, FULL of personality and joy, to great our guests as they come in for brunch on the weekend. You can dance and sing along to the music, you can make friends, we don't care, we just want you to be YOU, and have fun while you work.
We're a breakfast and lunch restaurant, open from 7am to 3pm on the weekend. Great for anyone who's looking for a weekend job, but still wants to have a life!
Your shift would be from approximately 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Responsibilities for Hosts:
· Manage Yelp Waitlist.
· Great guests on arrival and Seat them when it's their turn.
· Assist Servers by Bussing and clean tables as necessary.
· Prepare room for dining by making sure all condiments and setting as required are in place.
· Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
· Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
· Take to go orders from walk-in guests and phone orders.
· Conclude dining experience with sincere thanks; inviting patrons to return
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
· Provide welcoming phone greeting and following Guest ordering procedures
· Convey menu information over the phone to Guests and give accurate estimate of delivery time
· Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
· Fill in for absent staff as needed
· Assist with special events as needed
· Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
· Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
Qualifications:
· Previous experience preferred but not necessary
· Excellent oral communication skills required
· Positive interpersonal skills required
· Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English
· Serv-Safe Certification required
· Good telephone speaking and listening ability
