Hospice Admission Nurse Job at nj Health Hospice and Palliative Care
Registered Nurse- Hospice, PRN, On Call and PT
We are looking for a caring Hospice Nurse to support terminally ill patients. Admission Nurses (RN) are in charge of ensuring that the Hospice initiatives are effectively represented to patients, families, and others who are interested in hospice care.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes clinical referral data
Provides information, pre-assessment, and admission services.
Visit the patient in their home or healthcare facility for pre-assessment as necessary.
Utilizes nursing principles and techniques to treat patients. provides nursing care, counseling, and education to patients and family

Qualifications for Hospice RN - Registered Nurse include:
- A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New Jersey or current Compact License.
- A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
- Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
