HIV Project Manager Job at Imperial Beach Community Clinic

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Project Manager will assist the Chief Medical Officer with the administrative responsibilities and coordination of a HIV/AIDS education and prevention program in Southwest San Diego County, with a focus on quality management. This individual will supervise two HIV outreach workers to promote HIV prevention education and assist with provider training related to HIV testing and PrEP. This will include an emphasis on strengthening the HIV/AIDS continuum of care in our region, as well as developing community buy-in and support.
MANAGEMENT:
- Oversee the implementation of a HIV education and prevention program
- Assist in the review and preparation of provider documents
- Assist in reporting related to the program and ensure projects and report deadlines are met
- Track monthly data and assist with quarterly compilations of linkage and retention to care data and conduct quality reviews.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of collaborative learning sessions to promote peer-to-peer education among providers
- Establish a sustainable funding program for PrEP using medication assistance donation programs and reimbursement programs such as Ready, Set, PrEP, the Gilead Advancing Access Program, the Patient Advocate Foundation Co-Pay Relief, as well as the PrEP Assistance Program accessible through the California Department of Public Health
- Additional program duties as they arise
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced health-related degree preferred (MPH, MSW, RN or NP), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Elevated knowledge of HIV and/or lived experience with the impact of HIV/AIDS
- Experience working with diverse populations and age groups
- Experience in developing and presenting dynamic, creative, and interactive presentations
- Advanced skills in data mining, data analysis, report development, and MS Excel
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks
The Project Manager must have excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, high energy, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and the ability to participate in teams.
