High School Special Education Teacher Assistant/Para Job at Anoka-Hennepin School District

These positions are all full-time at 6.5 hrs/day on all student contact days - off on holidays and school breaks!
The schedule is roughly 7:30 am to 2:30 pm (dependent on location needs)
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Rate of Pay:
$17.50/hour, or up DOQ with K-12 experience*
$19.10/hour with AA/AAS degree, or 60 semester/90 quarter credits, or up DOQ with K-12 experience*
$19.90/hour with BA degree, or up DOQ with K-12 experience*
*Special Ed Paras serving Center based students and classrooms 50 percent or more of their time shall receive an additional $0.50 per hour.
*Special Ed Paras at Bridges, Pathways, or River Trail Learning Center shall receive an additional $1.00/hour.

Duties: Assists in the instruction of students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room or center base settings. Although the job duties vary due to the age or level of disability, job duties may include: managing behavior,
monitoring and recording student progress in instructional areas, managing physical needs.
