PalAmerican is currently looking for a Healthcare Security Site Supervisor to serve at one of our major healthcare facilities. The Healthcare Security Site Supervisor will be able to perform all tasks that the security officers being supervised perform and attend to administrative functions including hiring, mentoring, team-building, disciplinary coaching and actions, 90 day/annual reviews, skill assessments, licensing, and payroll. The Healthcare Security Site Supervisor will be part of the hospital leadership team and expected to participate on relevant teams and committees.

Our healthcare security team is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital community which includes hospital staff, patients and visitors. The Healthcare Security Site Supervisor is responsible to ensure Healthcare Security Officers are appropriately trained to deter illegal activities on hospital property while positively contributing to the overall patient experience through a customer service approach. The Healthcare Security Site Supervisor is responsible to ensure Security Officers understand and are trained to provide an empathetic, safe approach to managing patient aggression and supervision of at-risk patients in the hospital environment.

Minimum Qualifications of the Healthcare Security Site Supervisor:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen, and re-screening as necessary
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety/security guidelines for healthcare, including JCAHO/DNV regulations, and NFPA regulations
Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing

Desired Qualification of the Healthcare Security Site Supervisor:

Previous work experience in healthcare security
Supervisory experience is preferred
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
Proficient in the use and understanding of technology
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
