We are currently seeking a Health Scientist for our Health Sciences Practice in New York, NY. In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be actively involved in a variety of healthcare and life sciences related projects. As a Health Scientist at Exponent, you will collaborate to conduct accurate, timely, and creative research for the world’s top pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics companies on topics related to commercial strategy, pricing, and market access and deliver compelling summarized analysis of your findings.

You will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to a variety of life sciences industry and healthcare consulting projects including market access strategy development, reimbursement policy research and analysis, and due diligence for emerging technologies in healthcare
  • Managing and analyzing data generated from project tasks and applied research studies
  • Managing and organizing project-related materials
  • Interacting with clients remotely and in person
  • Developing professional experience, qualifications, and leadership

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • M.P.H. or Ph.D. in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related life sciences discipline
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills including proficiency in healthcare data manipulation
  • Time management skills: ability to manage multiple healthcare and life sciences projects
  • Excellent communication, organization, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Commitment to professional development through publication and presentation of scientific research and active involvement in professional societies
  • Initiative, adaptability, attention to detail, effective time management, multi-tasking capability, discretion, tact, and collegiality
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis software such as SAS and R

Compensation

Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Associate and Senior Associate level total compensation includes base salary, bi-weekly bonuses for high intensity efforts, annual bonus and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000 depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
