Health & Safety Technician – Laramie, WY

Trihydro, one of the nation’s top environmental and engineering consulting firms, has an opening for a Health and Safety Technician. As a headquarters-based team member, you will join our Health and Safety Team and will assist with the evaluation of our program and procedures, as well as other regulatory and Client compliance activities in an industrial setting. This role involves approximately 40-42 hours of work per week and requires up to 70% daily and overnight travel.

Responsibilities
As a Health & Safety Technician you would be responsible for assisting with:

  • Behavioral based safety trend analysis review and reporting

  • Incident and near-miss investigations and root-cause analysis review

  • Field and office OSHA and company compliance audits

  • Safety training program training, evaluation and management

  • Job Safety Analysis (JSA) development, review, and auditing

  • Reviewing and updating safety related programs, plans, and procedures

  • Federal, state, and local compliance verification processes

  • Client and company drug and alcohol program compliance assistance

  • Implementation of our “Keep It Fresh” safety program initiatives

Work Environment
This position consists of office and field-based work and will require walking and standing for extended periods. Due to the nature of the role, work occurs in all weather conditions.

This Role May be Right for you if You Have:

  • An associates or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Geology, or related field preferred (preferred not required)

  • Experience within an environmental, industrial or construction setting (preferred, not required)

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus

  • Strong technical, planning and problem-solving skills; including attention to detail and accuracy

  • Acceptable written and oral communication skills with a desire to build successful relationships with clients and project team members

  • Dependability, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • A clean driving record
