Health Information Officer - Data Analyst

Compliance and Quality Specialists liaisons with every department and all employees of Banyan Treatment Center.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Compliance and Quality Specialist’s purpose is to continually evaluate and improve processes at all levels using data analysis. The Compliance and Quality Data Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing processes for streamlining data evaluation and reporting. They will be responsible for development of PI reporting and/or any other duties required by the Compliance and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

1. EDUCATION:

High School Diploma. College degree or AA preferred.

2. EXPERIENCE:

3 years.

3. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

None required

4. SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to use KIPU on a Super User level; develop forms and evaluations, account oversight and creation, troubleshooting
  • Ability to use SalesForce
  • Ability to compile, manipulate and generate data reports
  • Ability to use PowerBI; develop and implement dashboards (preferred, not required)
  • Ability to use SQL Server and/or other database systems (preferred, not required)
  • Ability to work as a team member and have management, communication, organizational, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible in relation to company needs.
  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Verbal, Written and Computer Communication Skills.

1. SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO POSITION:

Direct supervision is provided by the Vice President of Compliance and Quality and the Director of Health Information as needed and indicated by specific tasks and assignments.

2. PERFORMANCE/PROFICIENCY STANDARDS

Performance standards are integrated within the position responsibilities. The principal functions of the position identified shall not be considered as a complete description of the all the work requirements and expectations that may be inherent in the position.

3. REASON FOR JOB RESPONSIBILITY/FUNCTION:

The Compliance and Quality Specialist’s purpose is to continually evaluate and improve processes at all levels using Power BI and data reporting/analysis. The Compliance and Quality Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring all procedures and data reporting are implemented using Power BI. These duties are not all inclusive.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION (refer to attachment for detail)

  • Utilize Power BI for ensuring efficiency of the data analysis and reporting. BI reports/dashboards will be based on performance improvement measures
  • Communicate in a professional manner with proper use of telephone etiquette
  • Perform in a professional manner.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Reports to work as assigned.
  • Monitors the development and implementation of the operational quality improvement program in the various behavioral health departments.
  • Supports the accomplishment of organizational strategic quality plans that achieve high impact and significant improvements in organizational performance in the various behavioral health departments.
  • Commitment and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintains acceptable overall attendance.
  • Completion of annual evaluations per Joint Commission standards.
  • Monitor External Data Comparisons in collaboration with data reports
  • Create and evaluate annual PI Projects in collaboration with VP of Operations.
  • Review/Revision/Creation and Maintenance of P&P as needed and annually
  • Participate in QA teams as directed by Vice President of Compliance and Quality and Director of Compliance and Quality
  • Perform duties independently, taking a proactive approach to problem situations, seeking supervision on an as needed basis.
  • Attends in-services and educational training as necessary and as assigned.
  • Seeks out learning experiences and incorporates new knowledge into practice.
  • Maintains flexibility and adaptability to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment.
  • Performs all other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Conduct chart audits, as needed, to monitor quality of care for behavioral health
  • Work collaboratively with behavioral health team members to meet program outcomes
  • Implement tools and practices that ensure seamless integration of primary and behavioral health care
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date databases to track program outcomes
  • Track compliance with outcome measures outlined in program contracts

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
