Position Overview: The Pantry Assistant reports to the Program Support Aide/Executive Assistant in the Executive Office. This is a part-time position, 10 hours a week.
Responsibilites:
- Unpacks and stocks food shelves in the Emergency Food Pantry.
- Ensures that food packages contain all the necessary food groups.
- Informs the Supervisor of any damaged food containers in the pantry.
- Discards damaged food containers in accordance with
- Food bank and HDWC policies and procedures.
- Assist with the distribution of food during pantry hours.
- Input data into an excel spread sheet.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED but not required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills (oral)
- Speaks English fluently, bi-lingual a plus.
- Computer skills, familiar with word and excel.
Salary Range: $16.00 Flat rate an hour
