Rincon Research Corporation seeks a Hardware Technician with an Antenna/RF background to help us install and maintain antenna systems and computer lab hardware. This position will be an integral part of a team working closely with project engineers as well as our infrastructure support teams.

What are the primary responsibilities in the Hardware Lab/Antenna Technician 2 position?

  • Install and maintain antennas, signal processing equipment, and associated equipment
  • Use/operate electronic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator)
  • Deploy/document /troubleshoot various types of rack mounted electronics and cables
  • Design/customize/fabricate prototype equipment and chassis
  • Install and maintain computer hardware, including servers and switches
  • Manufacture and test computer an RF cables
  • Work in a team environment
  • Create and maintain system documentation such as user guides, knowledge bases, change requests, and system maintenance records

What
required background will make you successful?

  • Requires security certification in compliance with DOD 8570 within 90 days of hire
  • Requires professional certification in one or more areas within 6 months of hire
    • Examples include CFOT (or equivalent), soldering certification, CAD/Autdoesk certification
  • Must be able/willing to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able/willing to climb ladders
  • Must have normal color vision
  • Must have reasonably good hearing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Preferred skills:

  • 2 year technical degree or 5 years of similar experience
  • Prior experience with installation of antennas and signal transmission systems
  • Knowledgeable in the use of common tools and electronics test equipment
  • Knowledge of and/or familiarization with basic electronic design principles
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
