About the Company:

The Inn at Schofield is a small 192 room hotel located on Schofield Barracks Army Base in Wahiawa. The Inn was established to provide temporary lodging for soldiers and their families during their PCS in or out.

• Bus service is limited onto Schofield Base and requires an approved base pass.
• All guests without current base access must check-in at Lyman Gate for vehicle inspection and an approved day pass.

Job Title: Guest Service Agent

Summary:
The Guest Service Agent answers phone calls on behalf of the hotel, fielding requests for hotel room reservations and handling changes and cancellations as they arise. When guests arrive, a hotel guest agent takes reservation information, assigns rooms, collects payment and provides room keys. A hotel guest agent also takes special requests and assists in fulfilling them. In addition, this job involves listening to complaints and attempting to resolve problems that guests bring to light. This position will require flexible availability to perform night audit and provide coverage for all other shifts where needed.

Availability Requirement

• Open availability REQUIRED for alternating schedules
• Able to work all following shifts, especially night audit when needed
• Morning 6:00AM-2:00PM
• Afternoon/Evening 2:00PM-10PM
• Overnight 10PM- 6AM
• Available to work any day of the week when needed (Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect payments using Point of Sales (POS) system
• Make Reservations
• Provide outstanding positive customer service and problem resolution
• Speak clearly and convey information accurately

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds
• Standing for long periods of time during an 8 hour shift
• Bending and twisting frequently

Required Experience (2+ years)

• Working in Hospitality
• PC experience (Microsoft Word, Excel and POS system)
• Customer service

Preferred Experience (2+ years)

• Working hospitality as a guest services agent
• Property management system
• Knowledge of military traveling on orders

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
