Goodwill Industries of the Heartland now offers no-cost upskilling training focused on helping you grow your skills to begin or advance your career in one of these high-demand job areas that pay family-sustaining wages.
This training program is available to residents of Benton, Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Jones, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, and Washington counties in Iowa; and Henry, Rock Island and Whiteside counties in Illinois. It offers you the opportunity to build the foundational skills required to start a career in IT Support.
Upon successful completion of your training, you will earn an industry-recognized credential and gain exclusive access to a hiring consortium of 130+ companies that want to hire graduates. Goodwill will help you find the job you want.
Scholarships will be awarded to 125 eligible individuals:
Ø Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Ø Are at least 18 years old
Ø Speak and understand English or Spanish
Ø 9th grade or higher math & reading skills
Ø Strong basic digital skills
Ø Will commit to a 16 to 20-week program and devote 12-16 hours per week to learning and studying.
