Under the direction of the Fitness Coordinator and Group Fitness Specialist, Group Fitness Instructors lead safe, effective, and fun fitness classes for the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC).

The scheduling process is very flexible and we offer a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends to best fit the availability of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• 
  Enforcing class sign-in policies
• Conducting safe, effective, and fun classes in many formats
• Following national safety guidelines
• Attending staff meetings
• Obtaining necessary CECs to maintain certification
• Monitoring the use of all equipment and returning it to its place after class
• Providing support, information, and qualified instruction to participants
• Abiding by all policies and guidelines in the Fitness Instructor Manual

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  Current certification through a nationally recognized fitness organization
• Possession of Industry certification (ACE, AFFA, ACSM)
• Current certification in American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
• Ability to effectively and courteously communicate with the public
• At least one (1) year experience in leading group exercise classes
• Ability to teach many formats
• Ability to customize a class format to a particular group's needs
• Knowledge of current industry standards, trends, and a desire to continue education
