Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 DOE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

World Relief is seeking an innovative, collaborator with talent in producing helpful structures and tools to improve, expand, and resource World Relief’s Good Neighbor Team (GNT) program. The GNT program, which partners churches and community groups with refugees, asylees, humanitarian parolees, and other newcomers, is expanding to meet the needs of our time and is integral to World Reliefs mission in the US. This position will play an important role in developing and deploying resources, as well as convening and providing coaching to GNT-focused field office staff.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continue the development of a Good Neighbor Team Community of Practice via regular group meetings, MS Teams, and other collaborative efforts
  • Work with a cross-departmental agile team to produce resources that will improve the quality and efficiency of the GNT Program
  • Works with the Church and Community Engagement Training Team to provide ideas, content, and feedback on the creation of GNT-focused training materials
  • Serve as a resource sharer, and coach to field staff who are engaged with Good Neighbor Teams
  • Provides assistance with the training and onboarding of new GNT-focused staff
  • Provide general GNT Program coordination, implementation, and evaluation (including metrics)
  • Manage national GNT focused grants and collaborate with field staff on meeting grant deliverables
  • Work across departments and with field offices to expand World Relief's geographical presence through Good Neighbor Teams
  • Maintain up-to-date self-education about resettlement and integration programs and stay informed on best practices
  • Engage in regular cross-departmental meetings, as necessary, to provide and receive program updates in furtherance of program excellence
  • Participate in field office visits to provide support, encouragement, and assessment
  • As requested, represent WR at internal and external conferences, meetings, committees and working groups with WR colleagues, national Resettlement Agencies, federal partners and other stakeholders
  • Performs other related duties and projects as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Relevant experience on understanding of a local resettlement affiliate or a national office of a resettlement agency preferred
  • Expertise in team-based ministry preferred
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office 365 software
  • Cross-cultural experience preferred
  • Able to do up to 15% domestic travel

  • History of involvement with volunteerism
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize in a fast paced and fluid environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations
  • The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-15 pounds
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information
  • The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • General office setting
  • Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in skype meetings may be required
  • Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending
  • Physical, emotional and intellectual demands
  • Equipment used: Employee computer (desktop or laptop), printer, and copier
