Golf Pro Shop Assistant Job at The City of Charleston, SC
We are looking for a Golf Pro Shop Assistant to join the City of Charleston's Municipal Golf Course. In this role, you will coordinate work activities of paid golf course staff and volunteers and provides services as needed for day-to-day golf course operations.
Examples of Duties
In this role, you will:
- Work with golf shop staff in assisting golfers on the phone or in the golf shop with questions, checking in using POS system, handling cash transactions and nightly deposits, requesting merchandise orders and golf shop needs, and stocking and arranging merchandise
- Assist with merchandise receiving, payroll, filing, and other administrative duties.
- Schedule and promote group, outing, and tournament play, coordinating with staff to prepare and manage event and assist on day of execution
- Assist with management of golf course volunteers to include scheduling, training, equipment issuance, and other daily duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- CPR certification
- First Aid certification
- A basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word or similar software
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Park and Recreation (CPRP) Professional preferred
