You have a combination of solid partnership marketing experience within the hotel industry, business development, and analytical skills.

About the Role

This role is an integral part of our Marketing team. This role will open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions, and evaluate/develop business opportunities. The ideal candidate is comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and critical issues to the leadership team. We are looking for an agile, autonomous team player who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to help scale the business.

Responsibilities

    • Lead new and existing partnerships, actively contributing to building the best alliances and business partner relationships that contribute to Canary’s expansion
    • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Canary’s Strategic Partnerships channel - this includes researching and mapping out potential partners, creating relationships in the industry, and executing partnerships that both benefit Canary and our partners
    • Unlock new markets for Canary by partnering with various technology and regional partners
    • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, and more to drive various business initiatives and growth
    • Drive high-quality leads for the Sales team
    • Drive the end-to-end agreement process with 3rd party companies, including but not limited to: partners who power our experiences at the 'core technology' level, regional partners, and partners who exist in our services ecosystem to expand our value proposition
    • Work with stakeholders across the company on short and long-term strategic projects with the goal of strengthening Canary’s position in the marketplaceAnalyze and monitor competitive movements of competitors’ strategies and make appropriate decisions on market responses
    • Work with the leadership team, including co-founders, on key strategic partnerships

Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in the hospitality industry
    • 5+ years of experience in BD/partnerships
    • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple commercial relationships and complex workstreams at once
    • Self-starter with well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills
    • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions
    • Attention to detail - Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project
    • Demonstrates a willingness to go the distance to get something done with persistenceStrong analytical skills and ability to use data to make sound decisions
    • Ability to think horizontally across many partners and their needs and strategically connect those needs to marketing, sales, and product functions’ roadmaps
