Overview:
Accountable for global planning activities including optimized supply-demand balancing across the defined global product line to ensure the strategic business goals and objectives are appropriately translated into the site level planning for the short, mid and long term cycles. Optimized balance of customer delivery achieving defined service levels in conjunction with strict management of NWC to achieve corporate goals.
Responsibilities:

Supply & Capacity Planning

    • Develops an effective master production plan based on analysis of all key supply and demand factors including forecasted customer demand, plant capacity, manufacturing costs, inventory targets and business unit inputs
    • Keeps the master production plan updated at all times, and publishes a summary with key figures (forecast, planned production, projected inventory) to all stakeholders
    • Ensures master data are properly setup and looks for continuous improvements
    • Works with MRP raw material planning, procurement, and suppliers to provide raw material requirements and forecasting information based on intermediate and finished goods production needs. Supports Operational Procurement process adherence.
    • Works with SAP, MS Excel and Power BI to support creation and distribution of master scheduling and production to plan metrics

SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning)

    • Works cross-functionally to balance supply and demand requirements, resolves issues and optimizes product flow and inventory, in close cooperation with all key business stakeholders
    • Tracks, monitors and reports leading and lagging KPIs for responsible areas
    • Holds weekly supply reviews to report out on KPIs, highlights areas of risks or concerns, proposes options to mitigate risks, escalates past due actions that are having negative impact to the business, seeks input from other functions, and publishes meeting minutes
    • Assesses risks, gaps or upside opportunities and propose options to reduce risk
    • Conducts monthly supply review meeting to review the monthly master production plan with production and procurement (MPS and MRP)

SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning)- Cont.


    • Conducts weekly meetings with plant scheduler to oversee the weekly and daily production schedule to ensure qualified customer orders are completed and schedules are up-to-date and any deviations are transparent

Inventory Management & Control

    • Proposes inventory targets to balance customer service, cost, and working capital in an optimal way to achieve NWC targets, monitor achievement of inventory targets, and initiating of actions as required
    • Responsible and accountable to plan production and raw material purchases to targets; escalates service issues due to inventory control to business stakeholders
    • Keeps track of SMOG items and drives actions to eliminate those (with Sales to sell slow movers, and with the plant to rework off-spec materials)
Qualifications:
BS in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Mgt, Engineering or equivalent
Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower and motivate teams
Deep understanding of financial, commercial and technical aspects and the ability to assess the impact of such aspects on the LSI specific supply chains
Excellent interpersonal, customer relationship, presentation, time management, organizational, as well as written and oral communication skills
