Position Overview:

Pratt & Whitney’s Digital Technology (DT) – Global Infrastructure Services Project Office is currently searching for Project Management professionals who work independently, and support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets for DT Infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include project and resource planning, scheduling and facilitating project tasks, partnering with DT and supplier organizations, financial forecasting, tracking progress, identifying, recommending resolutions to risks and issues, and escalating project problems.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Define deliverables, scope of work and develop detailed project schedules to ensure value is provided to the customer/requestor and business objectives and goals are met.
  • Apply project management principles including project financial management, scope and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, critical problem solving, variance and root cause analysis techniques to ensure on time delivery of product capabilities that meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate and manage project vision with project leadership team to ensure an understanding of the project plan and scope, in conjunction with the company’s commitments and customer expectations.
  • Build highly effective project teams and establish relationships with impacted departments and functional areas.
  • Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members.
  • Resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goals.
  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement and lean initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, Networking, Business Analytics, Engineering, or Business Management with 5 years prior relevant experience, or advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • In the absence of a bachelor’s degree, 6 plus years of relevant experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow, or other similar Service Desk tools is required.
  • 2 plus years’ experience with project management oversight of infrastructure and cyber security initiatives.
  • 2 plus years’ experience building and managing schedules in MS Project and basic level use of all MS Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT related technical certifications preferred.
  • Experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management certifications with a history of delivering IT projects on time and on budget, and the ability to recognize areas for process improvement.
  • Excellent customer service skills required providing a high level of service to satisfy/fulfill internal or external needs accurately in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate business needs and interpret high level business requirements, and liaise between business customers, technology teams and support teams.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies & take on new projects to grow experience.
  • Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment, able to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a solid ability to drive and deliver results.
  • You're comfortable working with minimal daily supervision and to balance numerous priorities.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, in a fast-paced environment of rapidly changing demands.
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal, with ability communicate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization.
  • You're a great teammate with excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity.
  • Executive presentation experience and comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership. Lead, facilitate and manage change effectively.
