Geotechnical Engineer Job at Actalent
A geotechnical engineering and engineering geology consulting firm serving the state of California is seeking a Staff Level Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in San Diego. They will be performing both field and office related activities on commercial, residential and public projects.
Scope of Work:
- Coordination and scheduling of geotechnical subsurface evaluations
- Boring mark-out for utility clearance
- Supervision of drill rig crews
- Classification of soils and logging of borings, test pits, and cores
- Performing floor level surveys
- Assignment of lab testing
- Geotechnical report preparation.
- Assignment and compilation of laboratory testing and geotechnical calculations, including calculations pertaining to shallow and deep foundations, slope stability analysis, and settlement.
Requirements:
- Bachelors' Degree in Civil, Structural or related field of Engineering
- EIT Certification is preferred
- 2+ years of Geotechnical Engineering Field experience
- Technical report writing experience preferred
Additional Information:
- Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per Year (Negotiable based Upon Experience)
- Eligible for Overtime Pay
