REQUIREMENTS: 1) Program certified in specific ultrasound imaging with ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI registry or registry eligible. 2) CPR 3) Must pass fit for duty

New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required CPR certification.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Works as a registered general vascular sonography tech in a team oriented accredited lab using specific ultrasound training to provide diagnostic imaging in all areas of the hospital setting. Responsible for following the ultrasound department guidelines/protocols regarding image quality as determined by the accrediting body. Participates actively within the department to keep the lab accreditation current. Knowledge and experience in adult and pediatric patient care practice.

REPORT RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the General/Vascular Ultrasound Supervisor

OSHA TASK CATEGORY TWO: There is an occasional risk of exposure to mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills splashes during the performance of the job. Universal precautions must be observed, and protective devices worn by the employee when performing those tasks likely to cause exposure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis to 42”, Able to lift 10-20 pounds daily, Able to transfer/transport and help lift patients onto sono tables daily.
