Dogtopia of Maplewood, the industry leader in dog daycare has an opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded team player that will be the first point of contact with staff and dog parents as the General Manager. As the GM you will also receive training as a Canine Coach so we are looking for dog lovers who are eager to learn about dog behavior and become experts in Playroom Management. We provide extensive training for this position.

The GM is an important role within our expanding business who will help hire and train the team, manage daily operations, and ensure the highest safety standards and levels of satisfaction for all dogs and pet parents.

Day to day job duties include:

· Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment

· Create weekly employee schedule

· Actively pursue hiring candidates by reviewing applications, interviewing and hiring

· Train new and existing employees

· Deliver written performance reviews and give employees positive acknowledgement when due!

· Greet pet parents and fully understand and be able to effectively explain the benefits of our services

· Have open and honest conversations with pet parents regarding their pups

· Manage team, ensuring all tasks be completed before leaving their shift, ensuring safety is always #1

· Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards

· Monitor playrooms

· Manage labor costs

· Produce weekly revenue and cost reports

Required skills/abilities:

· At least 2 years of customer service and management experience

· Strong supervisory and delegation skills

· Comfortable with groups of playing dogs of all sizes

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and POS systems.

· Work flexible days and hours, including evenings, holidays and weekends

· Lift up to 40 pounds

Pay: Starting 40,000 per year (based on experience) + additional performance-based bonus up to 12,000 per year
