General Laborer Job at Timberland Forest Products
SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, fill, sew and/or stack briquettes or lumps of charcoal off of line into bags and pallets.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Place wood or briquette pieces neatly into bag to obtain proper fill level
- Fill bags within the proper time frame required for the product being ran
- May assist in performing routine preventive maintenance on the equipment.
- Cleans work areas with hand tools, including shovels and brooms as required or requested.
- Promptly notifies operator and supervisor of needed repairs or problems.
- Follow established safety requirements and standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- No experience needed
- Overtime is required periodically to meet the production demands
- Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs. repeatedly as needed throughout shift.
- Able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for extended period of time (on repetitive basis).
- Able to work in varying external weather temperatures and ground/surface conditions, depending on season
- Able to follow detailed instructions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
