Overview:


The Department of Marketing at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track or teaching-faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin August 2023. Candidates should have expertise in Professional Selling, Sales and Salesforce Management, and Business-to-Business Marketing. A background in medical device or pharmaceutical sales is preferred.

The successful candidate will support the launch of Quinnipiac’s Sales Center, developing and teaching courses in Professional Selling, Sales and Salesforce Management, and Business-to-Business Marketing. That individual will also be an active member of the university community by engaging in university service, advising, and research.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver experiential, on-ground and online courses in Sales, Sales and Salesforce Management, and Business-to-Business Marketing at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching responsibilities may include other courses in Marketing and Marketing Strategy.
  • Teach a typical load of 3/3 as a tenure-track faculty member or 3/4 as a teaching-track faculty member.
  • Support the development and launch of Quinnipiac’s Sales Center.
  • Build external partnerships for curricular development, internships, and job placements.
  • Maintain an active research agenda appropriate for the position.
  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Be an active member of the university and larger academic community.


Education Requirements:


Tenure-Track Education Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing or a related field from a research-oriented program. Candidates who are A.B.D. with the potential for high-quality teaching are encouraged to apply

Teaching-Track Education Requirements

  • A master’s degree with a specialization in marketing or a related field is required. A doctorate is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach in the areas of Sales, Sales Management, and Marketing.
  • Scholarly activity to meet the Quinnipiac School of Business—AACSB Research Standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
