Full-Time Preschool Teacher Job at Northern Tier Community Action Head Start
Full-time preschool teaching position in Kane, PA.
This position a requires a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Pre-K-4, Elementary Education, or HDFS (Human Developement and Family Studies) or an associate's degree in ECE or a related degree with teaching experience dealing with children ages 3-5.
- Plan and submit developmentally appropriate lesson plans within required time frames while incorporating all areas of the Head Start program
- Plan, organize and implement developmentally appropriate activities consistent with lesson plans
- Provide for a variety and sufficient amount of appropriate materials in all areas of classroom
- Organize classroom and equipment to ensure a safe and interesting environment for children
- Engage in and ensure the application/implementation of developmentally appropriate practices by other classroom staff in regard to the guidance, interactions, communication, behavioral management techniques, types, length of scheduled activities for the children
- Provide consistency from child to child while individualizing to meet all children’s needs
- Participate actively in all aspects of the classroom’s daily schedule and routines
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers
