We are looking for highly-motivated individuals who can learn to perform various assembly techniques. We are looking for someone who can use a tape measure and can follow detailed assembly instructions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, as well as good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work intelligently with other team members.

Wing Inflatables has dedicated ourselves to giving rescue workers, the coast guard, Navy SEALs, river rafting guides, and kayakers, the confidence to stay safe while performing with lightweight speed and agility on the water.

Responsibilities:

• This position does NOT use machinery. You learn to craft by hand using small hand tools such as heat guns, rollers, putty knifes and apply adhesives and coatings.
• Measure for placement of parts on boats. Manipulation of components to assemble based on provided shop drawings and visual learning (trainers will show you the processes).
• Ensure that the workstation is set up and that all appropriate tools are on hand; keep workspace clean and safe.
• Perform routine spot checks on work; have Quality Technicians confirm that construction is satisfactory throughout build.
• Assist team in moving or flipping boats; may need to clean/wrap boats in preparation for shipping.

If you like to get to work on time, put in a full day without ever being bored, and learn new skills to advance to new pay levels, you will like to work with us! Work hours for this position are 6am - 2:35 pm, Mon-Fri, and OT available. This is not temporary work - it is year-round, steady work. You may even get to ride in one of our boats on Humboldt Bay after you learn to build them!

This is detailed work, and you will move around to different stations and products as you master each process. We will provide all tools and personal safety protective equipment. Must be able to work around chemicals and pass a company-paid, pre-employment respirator physical.
