Job Summary

The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for carrying out the daily Front Desk operations at the property. This includes following all company policies and procedures in accordance with all property manuals, achieving department goals and other duties as assigned by the General Manager, Manager on Duty, or Assistant Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain cleanliness and safety at the front desk.

· Complete Weekly and Monthly inventory and orders as assigned.

· To respond to action items and guest related items or problems promptly and effectively.

· Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

· Make guest reservations following all reservation policies and procedures.

· Check guests in and assist them with all reasonable requests, providing information they need to have the best experience possible.

· Enroll guests in our loyalty program and be knowledgeable in program and guest benefits.

· Check guest out at the end of their stay according to policies and procedures.

· Complete daily reports and checks of room statuses, payments, rates, and other required reports.

· Greet and speak to each guest who is in the lobby or on the phone.

· Assist with guest requests including minor cleaning duties, minor maintenance tasks, delivery of items, booking tickets, etc.

· To keep the front desk and lobby area clean and neat.

· Communicate with property managers regarding projects, inventory, ordering, and guest impact items.

· To be aware of industry trends and knowledgeable of the area including events and trends.

· To maintain a culture of legendary service and hospitality.

· To address employee related items and issues promptly and professionally with a manager in a manner that is consistent with core values.

· To work with housekeeping and maintenance team members regarding guest requests and feedback.

· Input work orders and room status changes, and follow through to make sure items are complete.

· Work with guests, team members, and guest while adhering to all security policies and procedures.

· Assume other roles within the hotel departments as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

· Hospitality experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Effective verbal communications skills.

· Effective time management skills and self management skills.

· Must have superior problem solving skills.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Knowledge of area and attractions.

· Ability to learn the computer property management system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Stand and walk for the majority of the work day.

· Apply physical dexterity with some bending, stretching, reaching, grabbing, holding, and carrying.

· Lift 40-50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
