Responsibilities
- Support a wide range of client accounts
- Create and curate engaging digital content
- Craft press releases, articles, blog posts and other copy
- Place stories with key media contacts
- Provide event support
- Perform research and market analysis
- Support grassroots organizing campaigns
- Support administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of providing outstanding customer service
- Solid understanding of the different social networks
- Ability to create compelling digital and print materials
- Experience pitching and placing earned media stories
- Ability to track and measure campaign success based on the PESO model
- Strong understanding of the RPIE process as it relates to public relations campaigns
- Ability to work independently and must be highly organized
- Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to accommodate tight deadlines and occasional after hours events and media appearances
- Strong adherence to PRSA ethical principles
- Desire to grow with the company
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to Madeira Beach once a week
- BS or Masters in journalism or communications with 1-3 years of professional experience
