Southshore is a privately held and managed group of integrated third party logistics companies established in 1978 providing warehousing logistics, fulfillment, quality control services, transportation services and real estate leasing and development its customers. The Southshore Companies have expanded beyond the initial St. Joseph, Michigan operation to include locations in Benton Harbor, Bridgman, Kalamazoo and White Pigeon, Michigan; Elkhart, Indiana; Normal, Illinois; and Spencer, Iowa. Forklift Operator/Warehouse
Prior forklift experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate(s). Safe and friendly work environment.
Job Duties
- Safely operate sit down propane forklifts
- Forklift Operator will load and unload trucks
- Receive/process shipments using computer scanning equipment
- Move and stack materials using safe material handling guidelines
- Identify damages and report shortages
- Perform forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned including general housekeeping
- Comply with company policies, safety rules and regulations.

- Forklift: 1 year
Requirements
- Ability to read and write and do simple arithmetic
- Willing and able to work overtime
- Be able to lift up to 60lbs, bend, twist, turn, kneel and squat
