POSITION SUMMARY

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Food Services Supervisor within Kenneth Moy DuPage Care Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:


  • Monitors food for temperature, flavor, portion control and quantity
  • Assists the Food Services Manager with ordering food products and maintaining inventory
  • Secures food storage areas
  • Inspects serving line, dining areas and food storage areas for regulatory compliance
  • Determines utilization of leftover food items
  • Recommends improvements to the food service process
  • Assists the cooks as needed
  • Assists with preparing the bi-weekly schedule for subordinate personnel
  • Completes required daily and weekly reporting
  • Supervises dining services employees, including morning and evening shift, engaged in serving meals, delivering meal trays, collecting cash and cleaning dining rooms
  • Recommends hires and promotions, directs and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positions

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:


  • Completion of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
  • Five(5) years of food service experience in a moderately large healthcare setting including three years in a supervisory role
  • This position requires possession of a sanitation certification
  • Must possess and maintain in good standing, a valid Illinois driver’s license
A post-offer physical is required.
A pre-employment background check is required.
