GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Serves food and beverage at a pace suited to the guests needs in a hospitable and professional manner in assigned Eldorado restaurant. Food server is also a salesperson for that particular restaurant. Must be completely familiar with all food and beverage outlets, all support departments, events, promotions and physical layout of The Eldorado

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)

  • Follow Sanitation Safety Procedures and Daily Sanitation Guidelines
  • utilize proper hand washing techniques
  • Server must set up and clean up sushi bar
  • Server must work as a team with the Sushi Chef. At times the server must assist the chef in cooking certain food items
  • Server must continually bus table/sushi bar and maintain a clean environment for the guest to enjoy his food
  • Server must be careful to bill everything the guest orders
  • Server must check ID with every room charge posted
  • Server is responsible for all trays, glasses, cups, etc at the sushi bar
  • Server must clean and set up the sushi bar for the next shift.
  • Server must inform managers of items needed for service
  • Server must close checks at the cashier station. Server may not have own bank and close own checks
  • Server must clean and sanitize bar at the end of swing shift.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS : Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have the ability to provide our guests with excellent customer service, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests.

Certificate/License : Must have a permit to work in the United States. Reno Police Card if applicable. Certified Food Protection Management Certificate

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Working with equipment where being safety conscious is required. Working in area where liquid and grease spills may occur. Working in a high stress environment. Typical restaurant environment with occasional crowds and accompanying noise levels. Frequent tobacco smoke

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS : (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). Must be able to sort, write and count in English. Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to tolerate repetitious hand/arm/wrist movements. Must be able to sit, stand and walk. Must be able to grasp objects. Must have the ability to shift back and forth between 2 or more activities in a timely manner and the ability to complete each. Mobility and stamina to stand all day. Ability to move quickly. 100% energy
