FOOD SAFETY COORDINATOR—Earn $20.00 per hour

Bring your talent to an important role at Farm Fresh Food Suppliers, Inc., an 88 year old family-owned company based in Southeast Louisiana in the city of Amite. We currently have approximately 50 employees. We are the world’s largest manufacturing processor of unique specialty food items such as pickled meat snacks and pickled eggs. We sell to various wholesalers and distributors throughout the country. Our one-of-a-kind products have been featured in various marketing campaigns, as well as in movies, television, and online/social media.

Our company is seeking a Food Safety Coordinator for our main facility located in Amite, Louisiana, in close proximity to Interstate 55 for travel.

Requirements:

*College Degree or Work Equivalent

*Possession of Strong and Capable Leadership Skills

*Ability to work full-time, long hours Monday-Thursday; Off of work Friday-Sunday (3 day weekends); available for overtime hours

We are looking for Food Safety Coordinator candidates who will:

*conduct daily laboratory testing;

*prepare brine and pickle formulation to proper standards;

*conduct routine quality control checks;

*conduct raw materials traceability;

*coordinate and work closely with USDA inspection team;

*ensure regulatory and standards compliance;

*keep accurate daily records;

*have the ability to lead and supervise;

*provides President and/or Plant Manager of company with information and feedback on the daily operations, problems, successes, and areas for improvement;

*be organized;

*ensure plant cleanliness and proper function;

*communicate and relate to people effectively.

Working Environment:

*environment can be hot/humid in warmer months;

*plant building contains cold, refrigeration/freezer rooms;

*must be able to lift 50 pounds;

*on feet most of day.
