Food Safety and Regulatory Lab Technician needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific’s client located in Blair, NE
This position is in a scientific laboratory of a major food processing company. Schedule: 12-hour shifts - 6 AM - 6 PM. Work 2 days, 2 days off, work 3-day weekend, 2 days off, work 2 days, have 3-day weekend off. Does include holidays and weekends.
Pay Rate: $30/hour

Pay Rate: $30/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- assist in ensuring internal collaboration and connectivity for all policies, standards, and trainings.
- You will partner with contacts to assist with compliance and customer specification issues.
- You will also work closely with the location(s) to help coordinate and plan programs that fall under food safety, quality and regulatory areas.
- Performs inspection of finished or in-process goods, analyzes data, and identifies trends in defects or errors. Help conducts root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.
- Assist with coordination of Food Safety Quality and Regulatory functions including continuous improvement processes, compliance to audits, and assisting with customer specifications and quality issues.
- Helps ensure Environmental Health and Safety training and new procedure implementation are executed and completed timely and accurately.
- Helps plan, coordinate and direct all regulatory compliance, laboratory, food/feed safety, and quality programs within the location to ensure compliance with customer, supplier, and government requirements and expectations.
- Some lab or manufacturing experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- High School Diploma/GED required
