POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates Food Pantry services; obtains, receives, organizes and distributes supplies of food and other items
Unloads food off the truck and into the Food Pantry.
Packs the assembly line to prepare for bagging.
Bags food and disregards spoiled or expired food.
Prepares and executes delivery orders.
Breaks down boxes and discards boxes
Food Pantry/Warehouse duties on assigned days:
Ensures food pantry, office space, and warehouse are all clean and well organized. Works closely with, Program Manager(s), Director and others to provide quality service to patients. Complies with all requests and tasks as assigned by the Food Pantry & Warehouse Coordinator, Program Manager(s) and/or Director.
Prepares food bags and/or boxes according to number of people in the household unless otherwise directed by the Food Pantry Manager
Receives and processes donated food; monitors expiration dates on all food in the pantry; discards outdated or damaged food in conjunction with the Food Pantry Manager.
Ensures compliance with all USDA, Department of Health and OSHA guidelines and regulations.
Assists in organization, cleaning and distribution of items in and from the warehouse.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for cleanliness, safety, and security of the vehicle and makes daily inspection and checks tires, water, oil, and other items to maintain equipment in good operating condition; reports any problems to supervisor immediately
Attends meetings and trainings required in relation to the Food Pantry Services.
Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Performs other related work as required.

High School Diploma/ GED preferred
At least 2 years of work experience
Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
