Spectrum for Living, a New Jersey not-for-profit organization, helps adults with developmental disabilities attain their maximum potential by providing quality housing and clinical services in state-of-the-art facilities and in the homes of families caring for a disabled loved one.

The Food Handler is based out of our Rockleigh, NJ Supervised Apartments. The Food Handler is responsible for food ordering, preparation and service.

Shift: Monday-Friday (11am-7pm)

Primary Functions:

• Reviews menu requirements for clients developed by dietician
• Prepares meals, bag lunches, snacks, and supplements
• Orders and purchases food and supplies, when necessary
• Handles and stores food according to established policy
• Maintains equipment, clean food preparation and storage areas to comply with State and Local regulations

Qualifications:

• Valid (non-probationary) NJ or NY driver's license
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience with food service preparation, cooking, and serving meals
• Knowledge in food purchases according to dietary needs
