The Peoria Public Works Department is hiring a Fleet Service Writer at their Municipal Operations Center. The Fleet Service writer provides customer service to internal and external customers as well as administrative clerical duties related to fleet services.

The Peoria Public Works Department is hiring a Fleet Service Writer at their Municipal Operations Center. The Fleet Service writer provides customer service to internal and external customers as well as administrative clerical duties related to fleet services.
This position is responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Monitoring repairs/maintenance by communicating with appropriate department staff
- Researching inquiries and discrepancies
- Preparing and monitoring fleet vehicle files, records, and logs.
- Assigning and monitoring fleet rental vehicles
- Assisting with fuel island related activities
- Monitoring Fleet shop supplies
- Maintaining/updating SDS documents and other related OSHA inspection forms.
- Be a highly skilled, safety conscious, punctual team player with a high work ethic
- Have excellent customer service skills with a truck or automotive background
- Excel in performing administrative clerical duties related to fleet maintenance
- Be eager to learn various elements of a municipal fleet operation

- A high school graduate or equivalent
- 1-2 years of fleet service writer or customer service-related experience
- Valid Arizona Class 'D' Driver's License upon hire
- Automobile Service Consultant Certification (ASE C1) within one year of hire
- ADEQ UST Operator Training Class A/B obtained with six months of hire
- Preferred: Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office
