Fleet Mechanic for our Everett location - $5000 hiring bonus

Cedar Grove Composting is currently seeking am experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. This position trouble shoots and maintains a diverse range of equipment including, trucks, trailers and some heavy equipment. The work schedule will be 2:30-10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.

Benefit Summary:

• Sign on and stay bonus: $1000 bonus paid after 60 days, $2000 paid after 6 months and an additional $2000 paid 12 months
• $0.25/hr. tool allowance, added to your hourly wage
• $0.60/hr. swing shift differential pay added to your hourly wage

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on truck/trailers, collection vehicles and off-road machinery
• Diagnose equipment problems and perform corrective repairs
• Complete accurate work orders showing labor and materials used to perform each job
• Remain current with industry standards
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and work area
• Personal safety and shop safety
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the manager

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Tools:

• Diverse mechanical aptitude including diesel, gas truck and equipment repair
• Prefer 3-5+ years of mechanic experience
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Computer skills a plus
• Mechanics must possess the required tools to perform the applicable job assignment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand, stretch, and bend for an 8 hour day
• Must be able to work in confined spaces. (i.e. under trucks) or in strenuous positions
