Job Title: Fixture Installer (ENTRY-LEVEL)

Summary/Objective:

The Fixture Installer is a traveling (on the road) position that requires on average of 3-4 consecutive weeks work on project sites around the continental U.S. and back home for 1 off week of rotation. The Installer will perform general fixture assembly and installation while also overseeing contactors, subs and leased employees assigned work against the Customer standards and project deliverables. The Installer will also be responsible for daily progress reporting, change orders, deadline variance and customer satisfaction


Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to travel by automobile or airplanes per the required schedule
  • Oversee and guide the activities of assigned general contractors and leased workers
  • Be able to perform installation and carpentry functions such as: assembly of fixtures, general carpentry, leveling and balance adjustment, remove/dis-assemble existing equipment per the project scope
  • Follow, promote, convey, oversee and report on compliance to project scope, safety standards and quality.
  • Report time worked in an accurate and complete manner.
  • Complete and submit daily reports, checklists, and DOT logs to appropriate Customer and Royston Construction personnel.
  • Support, monitor and maintain adherence to company policies/procedures, safety standards, DOT regulations, governmental disposal guidelines and good housekeeping practices.
  • Assure that vehicles, tools, equipment and facilities are properly maintained.


Competencies:

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plan-o-grams and blueprints
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to interact with Customers, Subs, Leased Employees, Suppliers in a professional manner (verbal and written)
  • Experience in fixtures assembly and installation
  • Computer skills. (Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Construction Software)
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have any direct reports however requires leadership skills to drive project completion.

Work Environment:

This job operates in many changing retail environments (ie. Convenience stores, Grocery). The Installer will travel to, from and between customer stores while working on projects. Work will occur inside of customer stores during store hours and after closing.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days of work are determined by the project schedule; this position often requires long hours, weekday and weekend work on a rotating schedule.


Travel:

Extensive travel throughout the continental U.S. is a requirement for this position. Deployment is typically for periods of 3-4 weeks at a time with 1 week off for rotation. Travel includes airplane and automobile with extended hotel stays.


Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma / GED
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • 0-1 years of fixture installation or construction experience – ENTRY LEVEL TRAINING AVAILABLE
