Fire Sprinkler Pipefitter Job at Silco Fire & Security
Job Description-
Fire Sprinkler pipefitter Technicians must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment. Job responsibilities include new equipment installs. 3-4 weeks a year on-call responsibility for afterhours 24/7 emergencies. Technicians must be able to use a tablet to complete paperwork, clearly and proficiently explain deficiencies or issues found on fire protection systems to customers. Technicians must also be able to work on jobs alone or in a team environment. Equipment serviced by Silco includes sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire pumps, standpipes, hydrants, underground mains, suppression systems, and more. Sprinkler Fitters will be primarily on Install and repair of Sprinkler and Special Hazard systems. Job Duties involved with sprinkler install include: Threading and grooving pipe, hanging pipe, reading drawings and blue prints, testing systems, and more. In addition to the sprinkler and pipe fitting work the technician will be provided ample opportunities to progress in the fire alarms.

Job Requirements-
- Ability to meet minimum performance standards.
- Licensed in the State of Ohio
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Minimum High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable vehicle, valid Driver’s License, and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
- Successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Compensation-
Compensation is commensurate based on experience. Silco has annual compensation raises and bonuses based on merit.
