Job Summary:

The Finance team is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Just Salad team. You will be responsible for general financial analysis and reporting to support the overall financial results and effectiveness of all departments. The Financial Analyst will be tasked with unique and process-shifting projects across finance and accounting to help improve operations and find innovative solutions to existing or new problems and processes. Success in this role relies as much on technical knowledge as it does on communication skills, as the Financial Analyst will be visible to Senior Leadership and will need to explain complex ideas in straightforward language.

This role is perfect for someone who is detail oriented, a team player, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves.

This position is onsite in our NYC office (hybrid schedule).

Reports to: Director of Finance

• Supporting Director of Finance in compiling and providing analysis toward all business unit planning, forecasting and strategic planning activities.
• Assist with creating, tracking, and actualizing budgets for accurate cost forecasting.
• Ad hoc research, competitive analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Prepare reporting packages and financial templates with detailed analysis based on specified requirements from leadership.
• Frequent communication with leadership and ability to present complex data and financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Involvement on long-term and short-term projects that may include a multitude of data formats and sources, cooperation with various stakeholders, and problem solving with the available data.
• Assist in data visualization efforts, translating financial information in meaningful and transformative ways for decision-making purposes.
• Participate in annual budgeting and recurring forecasting activities.
• Partner with cross functional leadership to establish, monitor and report out on KPI metrics
• Large scale Excel data analysis and use of advanced formulas.
• Contribute energetically to an environment of effective financial reporting and analysis, time utilization and prioritization, and adoption of leading practices.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Finance, and or Data Analytics and 1-3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination.
• Advanced user in MS Excel and other MS Office software.
• Ability to multitask, quick learner, adaptable, & manage various deliverables on quick timelines.
• Committed to team success, works well with others
• Superior strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated problem solver and self-starter.
• Hospitality experience, preferred.
