About The Role

The Financial Analyst positon is a local on-site role at our Milford, Ohio facility. This role is a key position to provide support to the Finance and Accounting department. Reporting to our Assistant Controller in performing the finance functions of the Company. The person will be responsible for producing vital financial reports to support Management in making operating and financial decisions. The incumbent will also be responsible for regulatory filings to both federal and state agencies. Working closely with Operations and other departments to monitor and improve the overall operations of the company for efficiency and cost saving; and to implement cross-functional projects. It is a critical position that requires independence, consensus and relationship building abilities, as well as technical financial and business skills, in order to be successful. It is essential for the person to be proactive; and be able to work with minimal supervision, as well as having the ability to consistently meet deadlines.

What You Will Do

  • Provide key support to the Assistant Controller to prepare monthly budget and forecasting reports with variance analyses and key operational comments
  • Prepare and upload all monthly consolidation and Corporate reports into the centralized reporting system
  • Prepare operational reports such as dashboards, sales reports, cash flow analysis, A/R DSO, inventory turnover, PPV analysis, among others
  • Responsible for on time regulatory filings to federal and state agencies, including but not limited to income and sales taxes (with third party supports), and other Corporate filings
  • Identify improvements on business processes and reports for efficiency and cost saving
  • Document key business processes
  • Implement any cross-functional projects that may also affect multiple departments
  • Additional projects and duties as necessary

Who we are looking for

  • Strong understanding of business performance drivers, such as labor efficiency, overhead absorption, cash flow generation etc., among others
  • Ability to transform large amount of complicated financial and business data to create high level summary reports to support Management, such as dashboards, budget and forecast, variance analysis etc., as well as other ad hoc reports as needed
  • Ability to work well across teams and build relationships
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with Management, as well as various levels of the organization
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy
  • Independent proactive self-starter, with excellent problem solving skills
  • Experience with state and federal tax filings including income and sales tax, and Corporate registrations
  • Working experience with ERP systems required. SAGE 100 experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA, CMA and other finance and accounting professional certification a strong plus
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, with Cost Accounting working experience in a manufacturing environment
