JOB PURPOSE

Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the internal monthly close process and running financial modeling. This role will work in the FP&A group, but also work closely with the whole internal accounting team. The role will mainly focus on mapping the monthly Trail Balance, booking journal entries, and working closely with the subsidiaries’ accounting team to fully understand the nature of accounts on the financial reports. The role is asked to have solid understand and experience on both accounting and financial analysis. The role will also support the M&A due diligence, valuation, and integrations. This position reports to the VP/Senior Director of FP&A Team. It is critical that this individual is a self-motivated contributor who can bring dynamic insights and recommendations to improve GrubMarket.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Responsible for the monthly close process, which includes month end Trail Balance mapping, reviews, journal entries, flux analysis and accurate financial reporting

● Process the mapping, loading and validation of historical data, to include General Ledger Trail Balance, Budgets and/or Forecasts

● Work closely with finance team to coordinate compliance with GAAP, ensure that the relevant financial control processes are used, and appropriate audit trail maintained at all times

● Build and maintain positive relationships with subsidiaries to understand the nature of accounts on Trail Balance

● Collaborate within the finance team and across departments to provide strategic analytics, insights, and reporting that influence business decision-making

● Support M&A due diligence, valuation, and integrations

● Support refreshing the financial forecast modeling

● Support the manager on special projects and lead less complex projects as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS

● 2+ years of finance experience with exposure to different areas (accounting, financial modeling, FP&A, etc.)

● The ideal candidate will have outstanding technical skills with excel, presentations, along with proven financial analysis capabilities

● Understanding of GAAP accounting

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

● A.A./A.S. Finance /Accounting Required

● B.A/B.S Finance /Accounting Preffered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
