West Shore Bank is currently looking for a Financial Advisor to join our growing team. This position will engage in long term retirement, and financial planning services for individuals and businesses. Facilitates the sales and service of general securities, annuities, fee-based advisory, business retirement plans, life and long term care insurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Investment Alternatives

  • Coordinates sales appointments, make presentations and completes all the necessary paperwork on successful sales and growth of new assets, general securities, annuities, fee-based advisory, business retirement plans, life and long term care insurance.
  • Educating and training branch employees on Investment Alternatives.
  • Coordinate and accompany Retail and Commercial Officers on sales calls.
  • Develop existing client referral program.
  • Create opportunities to work with centers of influence throughout the communities we serve.
  • Plan and hold Educational Seminars, be a Financial Expert for all clients and market the services we offer.

Client Relationships

  • Retain and Grow current client relationships through superior customer service and sales.
  • Perform continuous reviews with Retirement Plan Sponsors to remain up to date with Fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Perform continuous client reviews to assess changes in goals, risk tolerance, financial needs, and market changes.
  • Continuously find new opportunities for current clients in areas of tax planning, wealth transfer and extended care coverage
  • Conduct face to face client interviews for new product and service opportunities to meet and exceed stated Investment goals.

Financial Services Education

  • Maintain current licenses and pursue further professional designations through ongoing training and education.
  • Attend National and Regional Training sessions to remain knowledgeable on changes in products and regulatory environment.
  • Review sales volume of current licensed Bank staff on a monthly basis, for further training opportunities.
  • Responsible for continuing education requirements of licensed bank staff.
  • Review and monitor Annuity sales of all licensed bank staff.
  • Compliance*
  • Maintain books and records in compliance with all FINRA, State securities and insurance regulations.
  • Maintain the highest standard of ethics in all investment recommendations and transactions.
  • Complies with all Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures.
  • Complies with policies of the Bank.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and 1 to 3 years prior experience in securities, annuities, registered investment advising products and life & long term care insurance preferred.
Licensing requirements include; series 7, series 66 and SIE is preferred.
