How you can make a difference

The Financial Advisor serves as registered investment representative for North Seattle region for Cuso Financial Services at Verity Credit Union covering branches in assigned territory. This position provides one-on-one member service and conducts seminars regarding all aspects of investment services. This position develops ongoing business through prospecting and other client development activities. Hybrid role will require travel between branches.

  • Base Pay: This position has a salary range minimum of $67,602.00 annually. And a maximum of $103,310.00 annually. With the mid-point in this range being $82,648.00 annually. Starting pay is offered based upon an applicant’s experience and education relevant to the position
  • Commission Pay: In Addition to regular pay, this position is eligible for commission pay
  • Paid Time Off: All Verity employees receive 11 paid holidays per year, as well as paid time off (PTO is combined vacation and sick leave.) PTO starts accruing immediately
  • Benefits: Both full and part time employees (and their family) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, with a no cost option available for employee only coverage
    • Employees have the option to enroll in our 401k plan and receive an employer match up to 6%

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Facilitate and coordinate communications with clients, investment companies, and co-workers.
  • Service client accounts including updating client information, assisting with withdrawal requests and other client forms, processing trade documents, responding to client inquires, re-registering investment accounts.
  • Acts as key investment contact for clients in assigned territory
  • Prepare client investments reviews.
  • Review all trade confirmations for accuracy and completion.
  • Assist in the organization of Verity Credit Union Investment and Retirement Services’ seminars and other marketing related activities including, overseeing seminar registration, ordering seminar supplies and materials, setting up event space, greeting attendees, and maintaining referral program.
  • Greet and interact with internal and external members and customers in a warm and friendly manner, demonstrate a sincere interest and willingness to help.
  • Assist with department-related projects and special assignments, as requested.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and uphold Verity Credit Union’s mission statement, corporate values, service promises, and exceptional customer service standards.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations, Credit Union policies, confidentiality requirements, and other compliance obligations.
  • Consistently achieve individual performance goals and contribute to branch and organizational objectives.
  • Attend and actively participate in required meetings and trainings.
  • Adapt to change to accomplish Verity Credit Union’s goals and objectives.
  • Research, resolve and/or report issues and potential problems to management and/or other business units.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

    • College degree preferred
    • Three to five years industry experience desired
    • Series 7, 63, 65 certifications as well as life & disability licenses
    • CFP desired

  • Must provide timely and accurate responses to clients
  • Able to use a personal computer and proficient in computer applications—MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and ACT
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Work independently and as a team member
  • Strong business development, marketing and sales skills
